"Kookaburra Sits on the Old Gum Tree…"

This fellow and his family have started to hang out around the friary and the big soccer field by our property. There are a total of four of them, but they are terribly shy; every time I try to take a picture, they fly off. I'm told this is a common problem among Aussies wanting to take a picture of their most famous feathered friend! He did allow a photo of his wonderful, ever-present smile up by a gum tree (eucalyptus tree) over our car port.
